I hope you are having a lovely birthday!
I read with interest the article about food or nutrients. I see a couple of key points that perhaps could be emphasized more to the general public. I have many patients who either cannot understand or refuse to believe that "if you are gaining weight, you are not eating moderately" and "eat lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains" and "eat less, move more" are key elements in achieving and maintaining a healthy body and healhy weight. I have many patients who get angry when I tell them these things, and when I refuse to prescribe diet pills or refuse to endorse commercial Diet Brand X to lose weight. The advertising appeal of these products seems more believable to many people than the simple concepts you stressed in your article. Somehow, "eat lots of vegetables" gets translated as "supersize those fries"!

Oltre che di cucina mi occupo anche di sicurezza alimentare ed ho una innata avversione verso il cibo industriale, ne parlo sul mio sito, http://www.43zero58.com. A volte prendo spunto dai suoi articoli su "What to Eat". Grazie per quello che fa.
