I have been reading Marion's blog after reading "Food Politics."
I am suppose to write an analysis of the book. Honestly, I am not looking forward to write about how the government and other regulatory bodies control, omit, manipulate information, which I wonder if come as a big surprise to readers.

As far as I know, we individuals, have to eat. Our health is on our best interest. "Food Politics" fails when it undermine individuals' capacity to have vested interests in the food industry as well in order to protect their health and their children' health from the world of fast, fat, sugary, and processed food. At the end, we do have the power of decision when purchasing food even though a label may lie, omit, or manipulate information. But maybe I am too naive when it comes to individuals' capacity to make good distinctions when purchasing food.

That is all,

[...] So, the above ad appeared in today’s New York Times. A full page ad, I should add. The ad plainly states that it was paid for by the Center for Consumer Freedom. Well, who the hell do you think the CFF is? It’s a rather nefarious group set up in a way that allows its donors to remain secret (http://www.foodpolitics.com/2009/01/center-for-consumer-freedom-exposed/) [...]

Hi Marion- Contrast to the above comment, which is completely inappropriate, I happen to be a huge fan!

I have a little blog myself (I'm a bit sarcastic in mine) & I want to write about the CCF. It totally blew my mind when I started reading their publications. I don't think its even processed yet.

What do you think about their claim how hfcc isn't any worse than agave? Or how we shouldn't try to steer people in the right direction as far as food choice... or as they call it, nudge. I'm totally overwhelmed as to how they claim "consumer choice" but really they are in complete support of food distributors. Sure, consumers have the "freedom" to eat whatever they want and food companies have every right to advertise their product. But why does that mean that government or health industries can't also advertise the counter argument?

If you could email me your thought so I can quote you, I would appreciate it more than you know!

Love your books! Dana Visser

I'm sorry, Ms. Nestle, but you didn't expose squat. You only exposed what your handlers allowed you to expose. There is documented evidence and financial records publicly available on the web that shows how PETA, CSPI, and Consumer Freedom are all interconnected to the Rockefeller family.

PETA is a front for the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. They were funded by the RPA from 1997 to 2005. Once a Rockefeller front, ALWAYS a Rockefeller front.

CSPI is a front for the Rockefeller Foundation, the Rockefeller Family Fund, and the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisrs. CSPI has been funded by the Rockefeller Foundation since its origins in 1971.

Consumer Freedom is a front for Monsanto, which has ties to the Rockefeller Foundation.

Oh, and by the way, didn't you say last year that HFCS "isn't poison"? I can't believe a so-called "food cop" would magically turn into a lying shill for the Corn Refiners of America. And then you tell us not to worry about mercury in HFCS. There is NO safe level of mercury in people's diets. Telling us not to worry about mercury in HFCS is like Rick Berman telling us not to worry about mercury in fish.

You are a liar and a fraud. End of discussion.

Go ahead and censor my post. I know you will. You can't allow the plebes to know the REAL truth. I will be checking back on this page to check if my post has been censored or deleted. If it is censored or deleted, I will expose you for the fraudulent lying criminal cover-up artist that you really are.

I ran across Activist Cash not too long ago and it took several minutes of reading and searching through the site before I realized it wasn't just a joke.
