I’m a little surprised that you didn’t take the opportunity to suggest a diet that is not only sustainable and ethical, but goes to the root of Man’s earliest relationship with dogs. The Man/Dog symbiosis began thousands of years ago with a simple “contract”: Dog’s ate Man’s waste (bones, scraps, etc.) and in return provided protection, warning, loyalty, etc.

A place like the White House certainly produces phenomenal food waste after feeding so may staff, visitors, dignitaries, etc. Tons of meat, vegetables, fruit, are discarded. A perfect diet for a dog. The very idea of buying dog food while at the same time producing so much waste is unconscionable.
