Yeah, that ad is true in Singapore. This is just a case of dubtext. If you watch any anime or video games, you know about dubtext. Dubtext is the geographic version of the Flintstones “We’ll have a gay old time.” So, yeah. Usually dubtext implies romantic subtext (especially of varieties parents might not want their kids watching) or mental instability.

I read that many cases of Alzheimers are being diagnosed post-humously as Mad Cow disease. If that’s true then this ad is 100% accurate.

It’s a promotion being done by Burger King’s Singapore franchisee, Bonvests dba Bon-Food Pty Ltd. It has no actual connection with Burger King corporate; Bonvests is marketing it under the Burger King trademark.

I don’t know, it’s pretty horrendous. But a friend of a friend owns a bunch of Jiffy Lubes, and yesterday he showed up with a t-shirt that said “Jiffy Lube: We Even Lubed Your Momma”. He owns the business! Idjit.

I have no way of knowing if this is accurate, but Gawker seems to have confirmation from BK that it is indeed a real ad, albeit for a “limited promotion” in Singapore.
