Food has come to the forefront in the political debates in New York City. Issues ranging from food security to school food, from health to availability are the object of analysis and reflection, as the mayoral debate about food policy that took place at The New School in 2013 demonstrates. What is the future of food in the city? Who are the actors involved? What’s the role of civil society in determining what New Yorkers will have access to, and how?
Speakers: Barbara Turk, Eric Goldstein, Jan Poppendieck, Thomas Forster
