I hope people are at least scarfing this down as a meal later in the day than breakfast. I couldn’t imagine waking up to this. Sugar high and huge crash.

I would guess it is only about, what, 50-60 calories ;) .

If they are serving this in NYC then they have to list calories. I’d say it’s at least 1300…what a way to start your day…NOT!

It’s no wonder that so many people walk around tired and uninspired. With all your energy going to digesting this kind of meal, some must be missing their true potential!

I saw the stackers on the website, http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/ and thought it was a joke. Then I saw the post here and realized it wasn’t.

If a menu item ends up on http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/ without modification, it is best to avoid it.

This will give cheesecake a bad name. Nothing wrong with a dessert after a satisfying and balanced meal, but this sort of food dissembling is what’s really making Americans fat. Inability to differentiate breakfast from dessert sends a powerful message to kids at a family restaurant.

BTW, do you suppose they would also bring a side order of bacon or sausage to eat with that?!

Sheila: Look at Marion’s link to the AP article. The sad truth is that this is also part of an IHOP combination meal that includes eggs, sausage & home fries ALONG WITH the pancake/cheesecake horror. Also giving meals a bad name. Maybe the best strategy is to not publicize such tortures to the human body. Stop the madness!

Maybe I’ve been out of the fast food loop for too long, but that doesn’t look remotely appealing to me. Fake whipped cream and canned strawberries with chalky cheesecake-flavored filling and tasteless fluffy pancakes? Urk. I’d rather splurge once in a while on a nice piece of authentic cheesecake, or my favorite ice cream shop’s excellent blackberry cheesecake ice cream.

Rebecca, I was unfamiliar with that site but now I’m kind of hooked. Mostly the stuff is horrifying, but I’d eat that Guiness chocolate pudding….

And the great thing about things like this… is it’s not on our everyday menu… or at least it shouldn’t be…. and we can take it as an indulgence (like I do with anything from IHOP and restaurants of the like) for every once in a blue moon.
